Criminal Law involves cases where the government prosecutes an individual or organization for an act classified as a crime. 2. Purpose Civil Law aims to resolve non-criminal disputes and provide compensation to the aggrieved party. Criminal Law seeks to maintain law and order by punishing offenders who commit crimes against society or the state. 3.
